Our Commitment to Your Privacy
JSC Advisers (“JSC Advisers,” “the Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a certified public accounting and advisory firm. Protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal and financial information entrusted to us is fundamental to our profession and to the way we do business. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect through our website and in the course of providing our services, how we use and protect that information, and the choices available to you. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
Information you provide directly. This includes information submitted through our website contact forms, by phone, by email, by text message, or in person, such as your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and the nature of your inquiry.
Client engagement information. When you engage our firm, we collect personal, financial, and tax information necessary to perform accounting, tax, advisory, payroll, and related professional services. This may include Social Security numbers, financial account information, income and expense records, and other sensitive data.
Website usage information. Like most websites, we may automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our site, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring website, typically through cookies or similar technologies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about our services;
Provide accounting, tax, advisory, and related professional services you have engaged us to perform;
Send appointment reminders, document requests, deadline notifications, and other service-related communications, including by text message where you have consented;
Administer billing and manage our client relationships;
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards;
Send occasional marketing communications, such as newsletters, tax deadline reminders, and firm updates, where permitted; and
Improve our website and the services we offer.
Marketing communications. If you receive marketing emails from us, you may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in each message or by contacting us directly. Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you service-related messages necessary to your engagement with the Firm, such as document requests and deadline notifications. We do not use your information for third-party targeted advertising, and marketing communications are never sent by text message without your consent.
Confidentiality of Client Information
As a CPA firm, we are bound by professional standards of confidentiality that go beyond what the law requires, including the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and applicable state accountancy regulations. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone, except as permitted or required by law, as authorized by you, or as necessary to perform the services you have engaged us to provide.
Federal law, including Internal Revenue Code Section 7216, restricts the use and disclosure of tax return information by tax return preparers. We use and disclose tax return information only as permitted by law or with your written consent.
Text Messaging (SMS) Privacy and Consent
The Firm offers text messaging as a convenient way to communicate with clients and prospective clients about our services, such as appointment reminders, document requests, deadline notifications, and responses to your inquiries.
Consent. You may opt in to receive text messages from us by providing your phone number through our website contact form, verbally, in writing, or by initiating a text message conversation with us. By providing your telephone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from JSC Advisers related to our services. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any services.
Message frequency and rates. Message frequency may vary depending on the nature of your engagement and communications with us. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out. You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you opt out, you will receive a final confirmation message, and we will no longer send you text messages unless you opt in again. For assistance, reply HELP to any of our messages or contact us using the information at the end of this policy.
No Sharing of Mobile Information
We respect the trust you place in us when you provide your phone number and consent to receive text messages. Accordingly:
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Phone numbers collected for SMS consent and the associated opt-in records are used solely by JSC Advisers to communicate with you and are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own use.
Sharing of Information with Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share personal information only in the following limited circumstances, and any such sharing excludes text messaging opt-in data and consent as described above:
Service providers. We may use trusted third-party service providers, such as tax preparation software, secure document portals, cloud hosting, and payroll processing platforms, that process information on our behalf solely to help us deliver our services. These providers are contractually obligated to safeguard your information and may not use it for their own purposes.
With your authorization. We may disclose information to third parties, such as lenders, attorneys, or financial advisors, when you direct or authorize us to do so.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or professional standards, including peer review of our practice.
How We Protect Your Information
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your personal information in accordance with applicable law and professional standards. These measures include restricted access to client information, secure client portals for document exchange, encryption of sensitive data, and ongoing employee training on confidentiality obligations. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we work diligently to protect the information entrusted to us.
Data Retention
We retain personal and client information for as long as necessary to provide our services, satisfy legal, regulatory, and professional record-keeping requirements, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we dispose of it securely.
Your Privacy Rights
We believe you should have reasonable control over your personal information. Subject to our legal, regulatory, and professional record-keeping obligations, you may:
Request access. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you.
Request correction. You may ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate or outdated.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information at the end of this policy. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within a reasonable time. We will never discriminate against you or alter the quality of our services because you exercised a privacy right.
